Background: Perception is the way something regarded/understood. It mainly created by two factors; one physiological and another psychological characteristics of human being. Thus, perception not only process that what sees with eyes it a much more complex involving too, which any person selectively assimilates gives meaning to stimuli in environment. subjective process, thatis why different people perceive same manner. The current study aimed factors affecting farm families towards farming as an occupation. Methods: present was conducted ascertain results are based on perspective researchers. Result: There were six major factorsidentified namely economic, socio-cultural, physical, personal, push pull perception. economic comprised variables like income, cost agricultural production vicious cycle debt loan socio-cultural had professional social status along family influence children occupational choice.
